In celebration of Father’s Day, we invited dads from our team to share their personal mission of fatherhood and the lessons they have taught their children along the way.

JON ECKERT

President and Chief Executive Officer

What is your personal mission as a father?

To demonstrate what love, kindness, consistency, service and perseverance look like.

What is one value or lesson you have instilled in your children as they’ve grown up?

Success won’t just come to you. You have to go out and get it!

DAVE MARKS

EVP, Executive Portfolio Manager

What is your personal mission as a father?

My mission has always been to raise happy and healthy children who would grow into independent and successful contributors to their communities, and who will, of course, always love and respect their parents.

What is one value or lesson you have instilled in your children as they’ve grown up?

That they could accomplish anything that they put their mind to, as long as they were willing to put in the work that is necessary to succeed.

MARK RUETHER

SVP, Business Banking Manager

What is your personal mission as a father?

My personal mission as a father is to be a good role model, mentor and supporter for my son. I’ve always tried to provide my son the tools he needed to be successful in school, sports and life in general, but at the same time give him the space to make his own decisions and path in life.

What is one value or lesson you have instilled in your son as he's grown up?

I think the biggest lesson I’ve instilled in my son over the years has been to always be on time!
